The answer is simple—we’re best friends first.

After 17 wonderful years by each other’s side,  our connection is rooted in strong communication and mutual respect. And while we may be polar opposites, that’s exactly what makes us the perfect team—especially in the beauty industry.

I’m Starr—a color and extension specialist. My strengths lie in vibrant transformations and personalized looks that enhance your natural beauty. CJ, on the other hand, brings precision barbering, advanced cutting techniques, and texture services to the salon floor. Together, we truly complement each other.

My journey into beauty wasn’t exactly a straight path. I originally thought I wanted to be a nurse—until I realized bodily fluids weren’t for me! But what did stick was my desire to help people. Today, I get to make others feel beautiful and confident. You never know what someone is going through—and a new look can be a turning point. I live for the transformation moments. When you see yourself through my eyes—radiant and confident—that’s everything.

CJ’s path is equally unique. Before diving into hairstyling, he spent over 13 years as a Suicide Prevention Specialist, working with those facing serious mental health challenges. Through that experience, he noticed a recurring theme—many people struggled with self-image, which deeply impacted their emotional well-being. Blending his therapeutic background with his talent for hairstyling allows CJ to create not just great hair, but genuine connection. He brings a calming presence, an amazing shampoo experience, and yes—he’s basically a therapist behind the chair.
